Have we forgotten this auction that recently ended setting what appears to be a new bar for the super receivers...Sansui G-33000 for...Hey I can post the link since this is the $ & sense form.

But more than 2G for a Pioneer receiver? I don't know.

The G-33000 is a rare bird. I think the buyer bought it for bragging rights, because he certainly could have purchased a superior-sounding setup for less the the $4k+ he spent on that receiver (or any receiver I know of).

I just got a response back from the seller....

"Yes...it was a type..sorry it took so long to respond about the pioneer Sx-1980 stereo....it was 750.00 but offers are coming in and at this point the last offer was $1,500.00."

If it was a typo, why hasn't he corrected the original ad?
