Looks like I posted this incorrectly but just trying to learn about this speaker (model, age, etc.). I know nothing about them (I have a pair) other than they came out of a church sound system. Thanks for any info.

Looks like Tannoy Lynx drivers. I have a pair of the 15s also. Very good sounding! Do you have a front pic?
"Thiel Small parameters" (T/S parameters) are electromechanical measurements which are used to design cabinets for speakers.
There are many DIY threads about how to measure them and how to use them. They are essential if you want to design your own cabinets, or select speakers to put in cabinets.
Like resistors, capacitors, transistors, transformers are for circuits, T/S parameters are to speakers.

If those are like mine that came out of a church, they might be 3859 drivers which there is scant information on. Mine are Cougar stage monitors that I would like to use for hifi. The frequency range is 100-20K in my tiny cabinets, so that's not going to work for me. I have some huge 13 ft3 enclosures I could use. I posted in another thread, but it's not getting any traction. I'd like to see if they best my 604s, 605s and 601s......hoping they'll take me to the next level.

Very nice! The only issue with these, which I've seen addressed in another thread before, is the dope layer on the surrounds can get very hard. I removed mine with paper towels and alcohol. You can dope it with new goop, which I have yet to do. They are in storage at the moment. The cones will move much more freely afterwards and you'll get more bass.

Yes, thanks. I want these to be my top dogs. The suspension is very stiff indeed. So the alcohol worked okay? I have a lot of chemicals I could use. AR surround dope as well. It's like the old Altec stuff. Thank you.

Its been a few years, but alcohol worked fine for me. There may be other chemicals that work better also, you can always test on the back. Micro fiber towels may work better also. I just had to make sure no paper towel fibers stuck onto the cloth surrounds as it dried while I was doing it. Keep us updated!
