Tannoy 15” Speakers

These things are stiff. I worked on one for a while with some success. Working on the other now and will continue so long as there is improvement. The Fs was reduced from 61Hz to 36Hz and I was able to measure Vas with my test box as I was not able to before. I'd like to leave them on a 12Hz signal at low volume for several hours unless that's a bad idea. I don't want to ruin my voice coils. The 12Hz signal seems to be quite effective at loosening them up. I'm using alcohol initially and then switching to Goof-Off which I think is acetone. I'd like to get the Fs in the 20s.
And those will sound in great big enough cabinets. I have some ceramic magnet 15" tannoys I put in 9cu ft sugar scoops and they are end game.
What crossover are you using? I have the factory, but don't think they would be appropriate for hifi, but maybe they are fine. Tannoy switched from the circuit board.

I used the ones that came with from the cpa15 cabinets. Was going to build new ones but these have great caps and air core chokes. They sound wonderful.
