The Name That Album thread

I'm thinking Tiesco too now that you'll mention it.

Funny, I gave up on the artist and decided to look for the guitar and an image of the album cover popped up. He's a preacher man and what I heard online would be considered a kinda gospel blues. That's all I'm saying for now.
 
Definitely a Teisco & definitely Bishop Perry Tillis holding it in the cover pic.
I'm writing this from frikkin iphone (borrowed), so doing more browse & search is beyond my capes for now.
 
Thanks everyone for the hints. There were so many blind blues guys. Love how spotting the guitar make lead to the answer.

This one should be easy so I won't provide any hints just yet but will if needed.

You guys have it, gospel blues, on a old teisco del-ray, or similar. Lousy guitars, but renowned for the raw tone because the junky pickups:D. As odd as it is, cubby01 thought it was a fender, which in most cases it isn't, but theres at least one photo of perry tillis playing a Fender telecaster:yes:

You got it!...guys, i'm impressed- very sorry I missed so much, but on with the new ones. I never thought you would find it while searching for the guitar on the cover, very cool way of going about it, if you ask me.

That album was on the mississippi record label, and is a "compliation" of nearly 60 cassettes he recorded in his later life. He has a different album (more musical) called "Too close", which I highly recommend if you like root blues.

No idea on this current one. I suck at this too. So many albums out there and so little room in the expedit!

So it looks like the only clue we have so far is that it's Indie. Perhaps a decade might help? The artwork looks old but having no writing on the cover makes me think it might be modern. I've seen CD covers like this as they can get away with having the artist and title on the spine.

I think it's a cd- look at the woodgrain in the picture, as a sense of scale (may be a lp?). Doesn't mean it's not available on lp though:scratch2:...

tricky, that's for sure... may have to have at least a small hint, indie rock isn't necessarily a small genre...
 
I was looking at that woodgrain too and thinking that. I'm thinking the female is at least the singer. Don't know what the American Warewolf in London is there for.

Who is that trashy female singer that comes from that large musical family? Something in her profile looks familiar.

Don't know either, the female could be the singer, and the other character is the guitarist (obvious), but that'd be just a duo, no drums, etc. :scratch2:...
