For those still pondering the red circle thingy... what guitarist has played on albums with (among others) Zappa, Bowie, Fripp, and Ms. Anderson?

Adrian Belew would fit that description, but I still don't recognize that album.

Yes, it's one of his side project band formed in the 80's. They did several albums, disbanded for a while, and back together again in the last 10-12 years or so and put out several more albums. That particular LP is not a great addition to his discography IMHO.
 
I wouldn't have gotten it without the help of post #122, wikipedia and rateyourmusic. The red circle that is.

So we are working on the album in post #120. Hmm, looks familiar.
 
No need to wait up. I won't get it. If someone does they can always post a link to the full album art to proove they are correct and we can still play while you're asleep.

Maybe just one quick clue before you nod off?
 
The haircut looks '70s. Initially thought it was Paul Simon but after looking at his 70's releases I'm way off.

I think this one was dropped in out of order. I think the red dot record is the one that we're working on --- so I'll step back, and hope to solve a legitimate entry before submitting a cover.

Edit: looks like Cool Manchu got it and is up next.

SpeakerLabFan, you can go. :) I needed the hints to remember it. It was a vague memory that was jarred, but I still needed to look up the albums and I think that's not exactly in the rules. :)
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, I think the last 3 legitimate winners/entries went from Mystic > Cubby01 > CoolManchu. < CoolManchu is next>

I think the OP set this up for everyone to solve one cover at a time.
