onepixel,

Here's hoping I answer what you are asking?

Wall of silver resides in the living area of my small humble home of just under 1100 square feet. 12' X 2' is the footprint for the complete setup, including the monitor, surround gear etc....
The couch is set at 1/4 off the wall to make room for my CD/Laserdisc/VHS cabinets.
So you have room to walk behind the couch while viewing movies/concerts, or listening to music. Even enough room to search and pull Laserdiscs out to view. While still maintaining just the right distance from the monitor.
I live alone so it suits me just fine without complaints.
Actually I have had two women say that they thought it looked very cool, awesome in fact the way I set it up. Just lucky it turned out to my liking, after procuring various racks from Goodwill and it all just came together just right, at least for me.

You have a quite an impressive collection and entertainment room, but I think you misunderstood me. I was wondering where Retro's wall of silver pic was. Every time I see that photo it makes me drool. :D

My 2 SPEC-4s hiding behind a cabinet full of records and equipment, due to a lack of space to bring them out in the open.

originally posted by Tarl Of Gor.. Curious as to what video that is with Randy Rhodes?

I got this a few years ago, its 'After Hours' performance, Rochester, N.Y. 4/28/81.
A freind has the same thing on VHS but the quality of his is atrocious.
Lucky for me I found a good source for it on DVD from a good studio master and quality is really nice.

Check out Youtube for most or all the clips:

Nice gear here!

I have build up a nice spec system myself as well.. no need to name the modelnumbers.. the Speakers are (ofcourse) HPM-150's

Rumor has it, if you take the top pair of Advent's and flip them upside down (tweeter down), the sound, and soundstage will be greatly improved.

Nice set-up by-the-way! :thmbsp:

They are actually upside down. I took off the badge and put them on the bottom.

HTML:
Looks good to me Don, but why in the world won't it be getting much use?
alas I have turned to the planar side. I reallllllllly like the magnepans.
I kept the HPM-150 over quite a few other speakers others consider very good (Kappa 7's for example), but I am afraid the planars wins this contest.

Spec 1
Spec 4

I got them with a TX-9800 tuner for $150.

The Spec 1 works great and the TX-9800 just needs to be restrung. The Spec 4 worked at the sellers home, and for 1/2 hour when I got it to my home. It stopped, but the lights still light. There are no visible burned components or burnt smells.

Some people here attempted to help me (Donberry, Merrylander, and the Dr.)

I WOULD LIKE TO GET IT WORKING AGAIN. Can anyone help? I will drive it to a qualified tech if it is within say 150 miles of Fredericksburg Va.

THANKS ALL....I want to join the club!!!!
