Thorens owners group

21/32" (16.67mm) is what I measure on mine.

Thanks!

Just to confirm, was this measured on a Mk II with the adapter and mat removed?

The reason I ask is that I measure 28 mm with the adapter and mat removed, and 19 mm with them in place, when the inner platter is resting on top of the bearing and the spindle is seated against the bottom of the bearing.

Yes. So you know, all TD 12X, TD14X and TD16X Mk. I or Mk. II with the metal sub (inner) platter have the same measurement. The models with the composite sub platters have a small step around the spindle but the measurement to the point you are referencing at the lowest point still ends up the same as those with the metal sub platters.

I have 7 Thorens 'tables and they all measure the same - 21/32" (call it 11/16" if you want)

I will grab a photo with my vernier caliper when I return home later this weekend.
