Thorens TD124 dust cover

http://www.shoppopdisplays.com/CS001/5-sided-clear-acrylic-box-custom-size.html

I have a dustcover coming from these folks. It's 21w x 16d x 6h and is 1/4" thick. It cost $135 shipped - much less than others who charge $2-300 for one. They will notch out for cables, but that will add a lot to the cost. I had them just cut 2-1/2" off across the back and it was a whole lot less. You can calculate the size on their site. I'll post back when I get it.

Yes, please do post and let me know what you think of it. What thickness did you order? I'd think 1/4" would be fine. I'm guessing you have to order it oversized by 1/2", if 1/4" thickness is used so you have your dimensions as an inside size.
I like the easy idea of using a soft cloth but I'm afraid of someone in the house may catch the cloth on my SPU cartridge stylus when I get it installed. Also, I use micro fiber cloths to cover my McIntosh amplifiers and they still get dusty. Every 6 months or so I have to polish them. Southern California is an extremely dusty area.

I think dust will still get through a cloth. And with a cloth, you can't see the table. I like being able to see my gear. The new dust cover is 1/4", and my dimensions are outside dimensions. Just tell them the dimensions you want and those will be the outside dimensions. I used a swifter to dust my old dust cover and it worked great. Every once in a while I use Novus plastic cleaner to polish it. If you call ShopPop, ask for Matt.

New unconventional dustcover for up to 12" arms, here combined with an asymmetric base.

The dustcover has been created to fit also the original Thorens ST104 base. Read more on theanalogdept com

Two days ago I received the cover I ordered from Ferrucio through The Analog Dept. I paid a lot for the table and figured why scrimp on a lid and bought the nicest one.

The quality and attention to detail was superb and packing was over the top.

I showed this photo to the shop owner where I got the table who proclaimed it made mine the nicest TD124 in the area.

Those silicone(?) dots at the corners was a very nice touch. Not sure how it’s done but they look as if moulded into the acrylic.
