Tone Mode on a 2275...

Hi... can someone please explain the "Tone Mode" knob on a 2275? Thanks.

Here's a section of a Marantz brochure that explains the the tone controls -and the tone mode switch - for the 2275, courtesy of Ben Blish's www.classic-audio.com site (see #10):

By my calculations, that's exactly 7,086,244 tonal combinations on my 2330B!

And on the 2330B, rollover frequencies for the low adjustment is 100Hz and the high is 10kHz...
