Our daughter, home from college, suggested that we listen to American music with dinner. Thus, we had an EMI/Angel recording of Copeland's "Billy the Kid" and "Rodeo", and a CD of Gershwin piano pieces including (of course) "Rhapsody in Blue". I felt like I was at O'Hare on a delayed United flight :-)

Dinner, as always, was excellent.

Reel2Reel,

You like Ponty? Try "King Kong", where Ponty plays the music of Frank Zappa. Aside from the stuff he did in the 60's with the George Duke Trio, I think it's his best outing. It's also VINTAGE, released in 1969.

You can't have Thanksgiving without...

... Arlo Guthrie's Alices Restaurant, in four part harmony, when it comes around on the guitar again.
