well that's not good. Can you point my in the right direction. I'm on lpgear and not sure what to get. Cheap is better

Thanks. accept for the price is there any difference between them ?

I'm back! (Had to walk the dog.)

Those headshells all are of the same type so all will work on the 1200. There is a difference in quality, though, and weight. The last two are copies of the Technics headshell for the 1200 but they weigh more.

All but the first one can be purchased on eBay for a good bit less.

Thanks eveyone. I am ordering just the basic headshell. For now I did have a old shell that came off of a table with had a curved s shape arm. . It works for now.

Go to KAB and order an original/OEM/factory Technics SL-1200Mk2 headshell, don't consider any other brand/make/model. All the others are cheap knockoffs made in China and not worth the 5 cents it cost to make them and that includes labor.

I disagree. I have used a bunch of them on repairs and had absolutely no issues or concerns. Yes they are not the same as the Technics but they are ok, or at least the ones I had were. They might not all be the same of course.
