I've got an older version of the silkies in my mains. Mine are modded and sound quite like the Morels that cost twice as much from what I've been told. I haven't had the opportunity to listen to the Morels myself.
The speakers in the OP are a dumpster fire.

I haven't seen any local CL speaker listings quite that bad (or loud
), but I've seen plenty with substituted drivers, and the owners thinking they are "better" and worth more money.

There was a guy around here that used to do his magic to speakers. He had Camber speakers that he replaced the crossover with a single capacitor. Fortunately, they had the original drivers. That was what I wanted. I wonder what happened to the original crossovers?
Maybe he grated them up.
