Virus attack after log in

Every time that upon the moment I log into Audio Karma my computer Anti Virus blocks a virus attack. This site is hacked.

Well, I just had 3 alarms go off here and saw some others the past few days, so I don't know if he's totally off.
 
Well, that's a pretty good reason for not getting any malware reports, eh? ;)

While it adds a slight inconvenience, I'm fairly pleased with the function of Lubuntu (a light version of Ubuntu without Unity) virtual appliance running in VMware Player. Lubuntu has Chrome as the integral browser. There are a number of others I may try just to see them.

Had the same thing happen to my work laptop Thursday afternoon while logged in to AK (had left it open in the background). IT is having to restore the machine from a server backup, it deleted every single file on my desktop and blew away my user profile too. Nasty!

I can attest to a couple of firewall attacks end of last week (when only browser window was logged into AK, nothing else), but stopped at the gates...so far (Windows machines). No Mac troubles yet, but that just means no Mac trouble...yet. These appear to be trojan horse attacks from my records. If you can trace them, you might send a PM to Grumpy who can have IT track it down.

Yeah, I swear i've had a couple problems...Grumpy said it's clean, so i'll be looking into it, I always suspect banner ads, perhaps wrongly:dunno:

Just got something a minute ago in norton "Suspicious browser fingerprinting" (!?), blocked from a "Venmint.com" with a "lemontreeG" extension...weird, happened after I loaded a page with a top-ad for "Winter in venice vacations", weird.

I'll run a norton and malwarebytes just to see if it's something already stuck in the system:scratch2:.
 
The site may be clean, don't doubt it, but I don't know if they can see what may be in the ads especially if it's an intermittent thing. A drive-by, as someone else put it.

That would make sense...I wouldn't doubt the site is okay, but i've seen plenty of instances online of ads running background scripts. I hate intermittent problems, makes it that much harder to track down and solve.
 
I know it won't make Grumpy happy, but I run an adblocker extension on my browser. It doesn't block all the ads, but it blocks a lot of them. Pages load faster, fewer intrusions.
 
I was slammed with a rogue anti virus program the other day. Turned off AVG and knocked my laptop out for a couple hours. Finally was able to find some info online and I had to block my registry and turn off all malware operations. I also restored, but it took a while to find a work around as it wouldn't let my OS boot.

I only went to a couple other sites than this one. All trusted except for one link that sent me one I didn't know, but pulled out before it loaded.
 
What I'm seeing is that it is coming from IP 78-159-122-88 which Whois shows coming from Hong Kong.
