Virus attack after log in

I'm using Opera and I have never had any problems with audiokarma. I am running zonealarm firewall and avast antivirus and they didn't detect anything.

Has anyone who's paid attention to the earlier posters recommendation (turn off scripting) had any hits since doing so? I haven't!

FYI - I haven't seen any detects in the past few days running the same configuration as I did when I was hit before. FF8 on XP, scripting enabled.

I got hit and ran malwarebytes and avira antivirus but had problems afterwards. I came up in safe mode and was able to fix the problems after running a search in google and following several instructions. The next day my brother-in-law had the same problem-I was able to "fix" it a lot faster this time. I believe this people who write these"things" are out and out terrorists and should be dealt with accordingly!

Any specific details of what you ran into and any idea from where it came or what part of the AK site?

I just got hit a few seconds ago. I had just typed in audiokarma's website in my browser and it instructed me that it wasn't a safe site. I clicked the "back to safety" button and here I am, unscathed. Google Chrome has saved me twice. This is only the second time I've seen this warning since this whole fiasco started; which leads me to believe it's on the server, not the ads as I wasn't even trying to log in, just trying to load the website.

What do you mean by "wasn't a safe site"?

What exactly is that telling you, it found something or was going by an list of known sites?

It certainly "could" have AK on a list with all the issues it has had.

Loading the website will detect the ads as well, it still could have been anything on AK an
not point to any particular area as "yah that's where it might be".

FWIW many times on my cellphone browsing AK a warning about a Security Certificate comes up on various threads I open...
Not a techie so I just ignore and keep browsing... no problems at home (but I'm on a different laptop now).

Kegger, I wasn't exactly clear. Perhaps I will take a screenshot and post what it says. I'm going to try and post an example photo of what I saw this morning. See attached.

It may actually be nothing, just letting you know it's not sure about what it's doing.
(but we'll see what the AK people in the know working on it have to say)

That actually looks like an attempted forced redirect. I am not an expert on such things, just saying that's what it looks like to me.

I just got a Trojan blocked warning and Avast prevented www.audiokarma.com from loading. I am also running no scripts. I think Avast has gotten up to speed on this since the last 3 times I got hit back in December the virus was able to go around Avast.

I use avast too, it's great because nothing can pass through it and don't slow down my pc at all, i've set it to block any suspected site, and yes, there was 2 or 3 situations when i could not log in a-karma because avast blocked acces. Very interesting:scratch2:

Really?!? I use avast, no problems for years, but this one wrecked my machine for 5 days. Since I upgraded to WIN 7 64 and disabled scripting no problems.

I had a nasty redirect search bug hit one of my computers this week. AK had nothing to do with it at all. Used combofix to clean it up, all is good.

Malwarebytes McAfee missed it completely.

I wish I had found this thread before perusing AK at work, but never thought I would have to worry about that. I was getting warnings and alerts and whatnot from the antivirus program at work, and now understand why.

Any updates on this?
