Yes. I have a close relationship with the store so no worries there. My neighbor is as excited as I am so I expect that I'll be looking over his shoulder during the inspection.

Nolasally....we lived in NOLA for 10 years post Katrina.

Nope...Im a chicago boy who married an uptown New Orleans girl. She grew up there....We take the family down every spring to see the inlaws....

No harm, no foul, I wasn't harmed at all.
It kind of appeared that you meant try to steal them, wasn't sure of the sellers or buyers knowledge, or if functional. I just thought you were a bit abrupt with your comments. I know what I would do, and so do you based on the situation.
As I said, one suggestion, not knowing or discussing further with OP. All situations, knowledge, and experience come into play.

Having messed around with PAX speakers in the past I can tell you they're well built, heavy and should be 16ohm which will allow you to drive them with low wattage gear and as @nolasally mentioned would play well with tubes as they manufactured back when tube amps were still around.
 
I’d say buy them and use them as seats around your fire pit. When you run low on wood you can just throw one speaker at a time right on the fire.

I walked through the door with my screwdriver in one hand and magnifying glass in the other.

My contact at the thrift store told me that 15 minutes after I left yesterday a guy came in and offered him 500 bucks....so they sold.

I'm not going to beat myself up too badly.

Probably best that I don't know what I missed]
