Hey guys, Glad to be back. My brothers wife passed on at 1:21 pm yesterday after a brutal last two weeks, and a two year fight with pancreatic cancer.. It was all hands on deck for the family the last month and almost no normal day to day concerning anything since Thanksgiving. I snuck in a round of golf when I could and thankfully had this thread and you guys to bounce off and pass alot of time.
She was just 60 years old and very loved by Kelly, so Kelly was hit especially hard on top of her losing her mother just this past April.
I'm very glad to be home and hoping for peace and tranquility for all involved. My brothers doing very well, but has been on a constant vigil for two years, and frankly he seems relieved by her not suffering anymore. He hadn't slept in 3 days going into yesterday so I made him come back with me to the Fenwick Island place last night and have a good quality dinner and try to get rested until he got up this morning. He did both.
His boys are there now so it was my cue to go home.

On the floor relaxing, have some Beatles going, have had this Love CD for a while, have never played it. Not bad, seems like they are all slowed down and remixed tracks. Need to look this one up. SQ is great.

I love this Optonica SM-4305 and Yamaha M4 combo. This Sony is a lot of fun too, such a great combo!

Yea this is a little different, the tracks are clearly remixed and re-mastered, it’s actually really good. I guess it’s from the live show in Vegas. I remember seeing it in Starbucks back in 2006-7 but I thought it was just a greatest hits kind of thing, it’s not, it’s a mix of tracks used for the show “Love” really cool actually.

Lady Madonna has some cool Sax remixed to this, ok I gotta say If your a Beatles fan this is a really well done album. Hear comes the sun just startled and they have some drums in the background really groovy. This is a really well done mix, doesn’t sound like it’s been tampered with but if you know the tracks you will 100% know the difference. Am I just late to the game on this one? This is pretty great!

You can do all sorts of great stuff with Bach. His music is timeless.


Doesn’t matter how you label it. It’s just music that happens to have stayed popular for 300 years or so.

And when you hear this in a 5.1 mix it's a mind blower. One of my fave 5.1 mixes in my collection.

There were and probably still are many classical music lovers who would say Switched-On Bach is not classical music at all due to the instrumentation and arrangements.

George Martin took the original master tapes and remixed, adding unused takes in some spots, and created the Love album. Just goes to prove the genius that was Martin. Outstanding, though it took me a couple listens to get by the differences.
