What did you get for Christmas???

On the 13th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a huge storage shed in which to keep all of the useless crap she bought me on the first 12 days. It's sound proof so I don't have to hear 12 drummers playing 12 different drum lines creating the ultimate cacophony.

I got a copy of Genesis Seconds Out. I guess it's special because it says 180gm, half speed mastered at Abbey Road Studios and first time on vinyl in North America since 1977.

Not sure if I should spin it or frame it. Anyone familiar with this pressing?

Does the Flu count? Hit me hard Monday night and today is the first day I have felt like moving around.

Medical issues with the misses mom and dad put a serious damper on any family gatherings. They're 84 she has dementia and in the last year he has stared falling more frequent even multiple times a day. He was found in the floor unresponsive on Sunday the 17th and has been in the hospital since.

I did take mom out to eat Saturday and I think she enjoyed it.

Sorry to hear about all of that. I hope you feel better soon and you can enjoy time with your family. I had to deal with some family medical stuff. At least they all have care givers. That made it easier, but it was still hard. Getting home was a relief.

New capacitors and tweeters to replace the originals in my 1972 Cornwalls. I only did the first one so I can A-B them and check out the difference. So far I'm really liking the improvement on the 50 year old parts, and both my sons-in-law, with their better hearing, agree. Time to tackle the second one.

New parts installed.

The flu does count - I spent the week leading up to the holiday with Covid - which was a drag, to say the least. Better, now...
I bought myself a new Brother color LED printer for Christmas, which has been Very Nice, so far...
Now, to start the new year...

Being sick always sucks, but especially on the holidays.

My wife always complains about the sweats I wear, and I think she spread the word throughout the family that I need new ones, so I got a bunch of them. Also got a SSCY pistol and a used JVC JX-S300 AV switcher.

What I wanted most and didn't get was briefs.

Seems kinda late for this now, though we just took the tree down yesterday...wife gave me a Darlington Labs MM-5 preamp (she was very impressed with their customer service), and sweat pants badly needed; daughter got me the new That Thing You Do LP and also a Tommy Tedesco LP (killer studio guitarist you've all heard but don't know it!). The household also seemed to accumulate many bottles of red wine!
