What is your Avatar??

Triumph motorcycle -- my other passion - I ride an 04 Triumph Speedmaster - love it more than anything including all my stereo stuff - if I had to give up one of these -The Triumph stays and that's saying a lot - because I'm a die hard music lover as well !:thmbsp:

I've changed mine in the past, and already have a couple of ideas for my next one. Right now, the avatar I'm using is from the album cover of the Flamin' Groovies "Groovies Greatest Grooves". One of my fave bands, plus the little guy looks so happy playing his guitar!
:guitar:

Political

I wage political war on the forces of the evil left on a host of political forums and use this avatar to note the battle...Note the glasses...

"My wit is more polished than your mustache. The truth which I speak strikes more sparks from men's hearts than your spurs do from the cobblestones."
- Edmond Rostand, Cyrano de Bergerac, Act 1

A photo of yours truly from a hunt about 50 miles south of Saskatoon last summer.

Always open season on these babies plus you can roast 'em and dip in chocolate.

Good eatin'!

It's from a series of jokes floating around 4chan/Reddit.

I really don't take my own avatar all that seriously :D

I used to use various photos of The World's Most Beautiful Aircraft...a Lockheed Constellation. Changed a few years ago...it's either a 500kV switch opening or an illustration of what can happen if you fire up a vintage rig without dimbulb testing first:D

Mine is a Guinea Pig I rescued a couple of years ago from a home. I adopted him out to a young person in a church swap night where they go around and have a contest to see who comes back with the largest and most interesting things. The group that came here had a kid whose parents were GP fanatics and were getting ready to find a male for their 2 females. They had a dedicated room just for the little kiddies. The family calls from time to time to tell us how he is doing which is fine. He needed a lot of attention as he had been abused and was afraid of humans. On the girl friend front, the old boy is not bashfull and apparently enjoys the multi-girl arrangement to the extreme.

Mine's a cropped photo of Keith Richards backstage 1972 (STP) playing a Gibson Hummingbird.

Blame it on my other hobby - an on again, off again fascination with NASCAR's Cup racing series - and the fact I usually dig into the histories of my hobbies. The car is the 1955 Chevrolet (#14) that won Chevy's first NASCAR top series (now Sprint Cup) win, owned by alleged moonshiner Frank Christian and driven by alleged moonshine runner Fonty Flock. There were black and white photos of the car circulating but none in color which inhibited modeling it. After several years searching I finally found this color shot of it hiding literally under my nose in my video of the 1955 Southern 500. After the posting of a screen capture of it online two really well done models of the car have surfaced that I know of, and one not quite as refined. The picture is a tip of the hat to the Bowtie fans in the grandstands.

I was looking for splicing tape for magnetic tape on ebay... So I did a search for "splicing tape magnetic" or something like that.
This picture of the little German boy tangled up in tape during a splicing session popped up and I immediately knew what my Avatar had to be.

Ludwig Van Beethoven, himself.

I remember a similar thread some years ago, I must be a veteran. :D:yes:

Fender Jazz Bass, which I play novice-ly but happily. I have always loved the bass, especially after discovering Geddy Lee when I was about 13.
