What Record Are You Hearing Now?

I'm digging the Daptone double gatefold in Gold on 180gm vinyl.
Those cats, especially Bosco Mann aka Gabe Roth, have got this century's
soul and funk securely delineated for any of the youngsters that might want
to actually make music of worth during their fleeting careers rather than this
trend to "remix" the tripe Johnny Slackman made the week previously.

That and the Lad's White rekkid on White vinyl I must've bought in the late
1970s or so. Savoy Truffle and Ringo's ditty sound so superb on this pressing.
I'm glad I never foisted the ducats over to have a remastered CD versh of this.
I will buy the latest Beatle box so I can compare the original with the lightly remixed
efforts from Abbey Road's engineers. The mono vershes are supposedly a hoot to
listen to as well. I rarely expect much in the way of auditory nirvana with any
digitized rehashing. If the powers that persist would focus on getting us an accurate
representation of the final 2 track master recordings I'd honestly feel like digital
recording had begun to advance the art of musical reproduction [30 years into it].
Rant ceased,

Noel Grassy.

just pulled of the STAR WARS soundtrack (got it for 99cents with the mint poster and info sheet) and put on Radiohead O.K. COMPUTER

ooh I have the Simply Vinyl "John Wesley Harding" and you've reminded me to pull that one out tonight!

Last night went something like this:
Live from Studio 54 (weird disco comp with mixed transitions between songs) - side 4 of 4
Bob Dylan - Together Through Life - side 2 of 4
Mahler -Symphony No. 10

... and then I fell asleep in the chair. It's been a long week already:drool:
