What tickets are in your pocket? (What's the next concert you are headed to?)

No tickets needed but we attended a free tribute to Aerosmith. Too much Vacation and not enough Rocks/TitA/DtL but overall, pretty darn good. The sky for a while, stole the show. The band was called, Pandora's Box.

We saw an insane Rush tribute band named Mood Lifters at the Garden Amp in Garden Grove. The band has a 23-year old singer named Charlotte, who sings in the same tone as Geddy. In fact, she sings better than Geddy. If you close your eyes, it's like hearing Geddy in his prime. She has awesome stage presence and brought an energy to the show that was completely unexpected. If you live in SoCal, check them out!

Tomorrow night is the Rush Project, another Rush tribute band.

We also saw Dead Kennedy's and Flipper last night. The Kennedy's exceeded my expectations and they put on a great show. A couple of years back we were set to see them at Punk in the Park, but 3 days before the show the original drummer DH Peligro fell and died. :( But the new guy, a former drum tech for DK, is really good on the sticks. And Flipper was wild...I never imagined I would see them live, ever.

Added tics for the Vandals at Pappy & Harriet's; Spike & the Gimmies Gimmies at the HOB; and for the Adicts! Looks like we are closing out the concert season punk rock style!

I had tics in the cart for the Aerosmith/Guns n Roses/Heart show at Hollywood Bowl...with guests Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Nuno Bettencourt and others...but that's way too many performers to squeeze into an evening at the Bowl - so I passed on the tics.
