Interesting. I've seen several pairs of 600s for sale locally but only one of the 400s, and I think they were the first series. Time Windows do show up occasionally so they're on the list too.

Eventually I'll have to put an addition on the house, or buy a bigger one like my wife has always wanted. I seem to have a problem getting rid of any speakers that make it through my front door.

You see, the larger longer part -:way to the left in the board with that bigger part of that two sections contact spring on photo below - is bent upwards partly and that causes intermittent cassette detection and thus logic control issues in conjunction with bad contact of the switch below that board.

See again the photo inserted below right. I put the business end of a 2 mm wide flat head screw driver to show one of the rivets the other one more to the left in the board.

Having second thoughts about this. Maybe very short 2 MM diameter screws and nuts will be a simpler solution then try riveting. O well I can try out both I suppose.
 
I bought a pair of Braun Output C speakers this evening; I hope the seller doesn't tell me they've already been sold. On Friday, I added a pair of Canton Karat 200 speakers (the 8-ohm version) to my cart and completed the order, only to get a call a few hours later saying they were no longer available—even though the site showed them as in stock when I placed the order.5_23070_file_172046.jpg5_23070_file_172051.jpg5_23070_file_172047.jpg
 
Same enclosure as 8 Ohms Realistic Minimus 77 so it seems. But although drivers look the same, hence the 4 Ohm they must be different. ADC ( Braun ) in the USA also offered these speakers. And lot's of other brands. I really liked them 77's for nearfield type listening. Mids and top end are magnificent on the 77's.
I never owned these ADC or Braun 'versions'.
 
I am very pleased with these Braun Output C speakers; I had read several reviews, and the praise was certainly not exaggerated. I proceeded to check them, testing the impedance and woofer excursion while playing a 40Hz tone. I noticed that one woofer had a longer excursion and was mounted in a rotated position compared to the other; upon removing it, I found a piece of the gasket stuck to the driver itself, while the rest remained on the cabinet. After repositioning it correctly and fixing the gasket, the excursion matched that of the other unit. Air was definitely leaking around the woofer.
I am very satisfied with the sound output; if I can feel the vibration in my water bottle while drinking, it means they are producing enough bass.;)
 
Mentioned ordering it a while back but last purchase was a Fosi V3 for my office setup. It's had enough time to run in if needed and for the money puts out some decent sound from my hard to drive Dynaudio 42s. This amp would make a neat little setup for a youngster with just a CD Player and Speakers since you can control the volume and turn off with same knob. It took a while to sound right but blows away the Lepai 20x20 it replaced.
 
I bought another AT 6012 "Sonic Broom" for a 4th system with a turntable. I learned about these a couple years ago and tried one. While I rarely use the included fluid for how the brush is designed (I just mist the leading edge with a distilled water/99% ISP solution), I love the design. I used Parastats for years (if you know, you know) but a fellow on another forum brought this AT preener to my attention. They're about double MSRP what they were a few years ago but I found one on, new in the box, on ebay that arrives today for $25 shipped.
