I've never cared for the French sense of style in any form. He is proud of his work though, he wants $8k for L300s that haven't had near the custom work of those 4343s. I think his business model has some flaws in today's less than ideal market.....I hope he loves the way they turned out, since he will be keeping them for awhile.

I had a pair of cheap powered studio monitors that I couldn't sell so I painted the fronts Plum and they sold an hour after I put them up on CL ! I was stunned ! And the guy raved about them too...go figure .

My local vintage hifi shop recently restored a set of Altec Voice of the Theaters with the horn mounted on top powdercoated blue..the cabs were simularly accented blue, sold pretty quick. Looked pretty groovy but not my style.

well yeah, but were they charging ten thousand dollars, above un-butchered retail? i sold some ADS speakers that some ...individual... decided to put a bunch of shi^^y wallpaper on, some guy bought them real quick too, I didnt even have to run an ad for them.

but i also wasnt charging ten THOUSAND dollars above market for that "art"

Do they really exist in that color scheme or is he just offering up some photoshopped images?
Could be he's just seeking potential buyers, and if he gets a valid sale, he can spray paint and
