What's your "go to song" to test bass in your rig?

Now, the other two Bass Ranges you really only can be aware of it if your system has two active subwoofers

Thats your opinion. Certainly not a fact.

Plenty of guys here w quality big watt electronics & theater speakers who could take issue w the "only" way to hear 2/3 of the bass frequency range is a sub of any sort.
Glad the subs work for you tho - everyone has their sound preferences.

... And not everyone cares about testing just how deep the bass of their system goes down with pipe organ music. A Bach pipe organ thing that I checked out was OK, but really just made me want to hear Glenn Gould's piano stuff and I'm certainly not testing the low bass range with that music...

I have to confess, I listen to less pipe organ music than I might.
Fabulous instruments tho - I wonder if they still build them? Likely not.

Then with all due respect, this may be the wrong thread for you as it deals almost exclusively with bass response.

I disagree... I see it as much about the quality and no just quantity of bass. Most of the music out there, even stuff that has deep bass, doesn't go as low as pipe organ music. I care about how the bass sounds on my system, but I'm not obsessed about constantly testing just how low it's able to reproduce sound. I care far more about the actual quality of the bass sounds in the music that I ordinarily listen to. I care far more to hear articulate (not boomy) bass that reproduces all of the texture on the recordings than I do about it being able to dip down a few more hrz to reproduce bass to a level that few if any of the recordings that I own even have...

Then start a thread about that. I'll comment!

The thread title says "testing bass," not "testing how low the bass can go." With that in mind, it seems to me that one can interpret it as being as much about quality as quantity. If you're all about audio to test how low and loud you can get bass to go then have at it, I just feel that there's more to it than that...

I use more electronic music like some ZHU classics "Cocaine Model" and "In For It" RL Grimes/Tory Lanez. For bass and general testing I listen to Henry Mancini's Lujon to hear the clarity of the strings and the balance of the gently mixed bass elements.

Okay. Let's leave it be. We're starting to get bogged down in semantics.

Just an observation here. The question is "What is your go to song to test bass in your rig". Lets stick to that please.

Great White “Rock Me” original vinyl pressing of course. It’s the dynamics, rhythm and pace.

Rickie Lee Jones -- Dat Dere.

See if your woofers can handle Charlie Haden's a acoustic bass without bottoming the voice coils.
No issues here I can get into the single digits with my sub, 22htz in room response with my previous speakers and haven’t run REW yet on my new ones so we’ll see, but I agree RLJ Dat Dere is a good one for bass
