Hello all. I have a teac v-900x I'd like to get refurbished. I live in Houston TX so if there's somewhere y'all know of locally great, otherwise is there somewhere I can ship to?

That is a nice deck and it deserves to be in good working order.

I am in the area, but not sure where you might want to send it. There is a guy local to me that does some great work, but he is just a knowledgeable enthusiast that usually repairs and then flips what he doesn't want to keep.

Depending on what it might need, you probably will get some help in the Tape forum. I have done belts on a few and if you take pictures and are patient, you too can be one of brag that you too fixed a piece of your equipment.

I have done all I can do. Soldered a couple things (before radio shack went out of business) and changed belt. I was just looking for a more thorough job.

www.tapeheads.net has a forum for techs defined by location. The well known one's usually have 6-12 month backlogs, so if time isn't an issue I would suggest them.
