Where's c_dk? (RIP July 4, 2020)

So sad to read about this, sincerest condolences to Chris's friends and family. I always enjoyed his willingness to share his vast knowledge. An extremely sad day for all :(

Hello All- my name is Mike and I was a friend of c_dk. After speaking to the family, Chris’s wife, Judy, has ask that his friends here on AK be given first dibs on his remaining equipment. He has a few gems that were well taken care of. Anyone interested in any of these items please contact me and we can talk. Beautiful gear at realistic prices for his AK friends. Things are moving kind of quickly. I’ll try to keep the availability updated as folks pick stuff up.

-McIntosh MCD7000

I remembered his handle as one of the most knowledgeable. I was just searching and found this. :(
Sorry to hear, his contributions here will be referenced by others for years to come.

Wow. I don’t get on as much as I used to, and typically only hit 3 or 4 places, and McIntosh was one nehen I search for an answer I typically include c-dk in the search as that brings the meat of the answer up faster. I never spoke with him but benefited often and tried to thank him in thread when I could. I guess I must be one of the last to find this out, and can’t really add anything that hadn’t already been said. He was and continues to be, just so damn helpful. Only a year older than I, he seemed to have far more knowledge than anyone our age could have about the glory days of audio. I hope his family knows how much he will be missed and he realized how much of an impact he made in our little corner of this hobby world. Cancer sucks.
