This would be great if it had a decent headphone amp similar to the Fiio device that is similar. Nice to see them coming out with new products at a quick pace, though.
I would first reboot your phone, turn it off and then on, reconnect to the WiiM and see if that does the trick. If that does not work, unplug the WiiM, give it a few minutes and plug back in and see if that does it. If that does not work, try the old factory reset on the WiiM. I had to do this a couple of updates ago, I use the iPhone. I would also suggest getting the WiiM remote. I bought one thinking I would give it a shot, was iffy about it. Now, I use it all of the time, it was worth the $20.Hey Wiim experts, I am having an issue that seems to have begun with the latest update. I mainly use Tidal, with an android phone, usually through the Tidal app. I have always been able to control volume through this app. Suddenly, I can't. To adjust volume, I now need to go over to the Wiim app, where the volume adjustment still works.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Here are the update notes from Wiim. I'm not sure I understand what this means.
What's New:
Per-Source Volume Control: Introducing individual volume control with memory for Aux In and Wi-Fi input sources, allowing for a tailored listening experience on your device. (Compatible with App version 2.8.4 and above)
I tried all those things with no luck. Volume does still work with with Spotify, so this is just a Tidal issue it seems. Strangely, it did work with Tidal once a few days ago.I would first reboot your phone, turn it off and then on, reconnect to the WiiM and see if that does the trick. Have you reloaded the Tidal app? Maybe delete it and do a fresh download. Also, WiiM has a forum that answers many of these questions, and you can put in a trouble ticket. Can anyone make sense of what that update means, and how/if it might be causing this issue?

I went and fired up my WiiM Pro, no issues here with the iPhone, but no Tidal... Everything working and sounding fantastic.Yeah, I just put in a trouble ticket. I will try reloading the Tidal app.
Edit: reinstalling the Tidal app didn't help.

Get the remote... Trust me on that. Thanks for trying! I will report here if I learn anything from Wiim. But also seriously considering the remote...

Amir does seem to struggle to RTFM, or just the device labeling, or standard connector colour-coding. Ports are clearly labeled, even in his own pictures. The only complaint I have is with similar looking subwoofer out. Looking from above, I thought that was the other input channel and spent good bit of time trying to figure out why I was only getting sound out of one channel
