Very easy on the eyes.

Judging from the outlandish - but super cool - appearance, I would imagine that these speakers weren't primarily designed to appeal to the hardcore audiophile.

I don't know what the market value is of those drivers, but I am guessing you are paying a fair amount for the guy's woodworking skills.

In regard to sonics, price, and the seller's claims........... a whole lotta hooey.

That's a terribly poorly designed mid-bass horn that has a 10db dropout between 200-300hz.

A claim of 28hz usable response from an unbraced horn falling far short of the dimensions required by any proven horn theory is totally absurd.

Just my condensed .02 y'all understand.....................

I'm with you on this one, plus the top-end drops like a rock at roughly 13k. The woodworking is awesome, not sure about the sonics.........

I think you'll find a lot of the Altec horns drop like that anywhere between 12, and 15k.

Not sure about the 1505's Simi, it's mostly going to revolve around how faithful they stayed to the proper geometry, especially back in the throat/adapter area.

Wood can be an excellent material for horns, surely much more visually attractive than painted metal, plastic or fiberglass, and IMO has some desirable sonic attributes too.

How they'd fare sonically against original tar filled 1505's is anybody's guess, cosmetically they win hands down.
