If it was a cockroach in the box would you be offended and report it? How about a mouse?

How far up the food chain does a living creature have to be before you are shocked and horrified?

I can't say I know for sure what is going on in that pic. On the other hand it has been proven time and time again that people that are mean to animals eventually become very dangerous to humans too. Maybe next time it will be a little baby in the box. :worried:

WTF is it about the internets and cats?

It is what it is .....peace of mind says it's a mistake or joke.

I don't care much for cats, only reason your cat doesn't eat you is that it's not big enough. But I still wouldn't do that to a cat, assuming it's not a joke.

Cats like boxes and th OP cat doesn't look distressed. If you're familiar with them, you'd know that that unlocked box would not hold a panicked cat. My guess is he jumped in it and the owner thought it was funny. My cat managed to get stuck in a suitcase for several hours after he jumped on the zippered top and fell in. Another time, he fell into my aquarium while attempting to catch a fish. BTW, he decided to stay clear of the aquarium after that episode.

People are attached - pets - to cats and dogs. They view them as part of the family.
