Use 12" for a better directivity match. 15" is 90° at ~1 kHz, whereas eWave crosses half an octave higher.... :yes:

I like my Eminence omega pro 15's ($180 each), but they are probably more than you want to spend. If you are thinking about dropping a lot of money on drivers, musicians friend has a 20% off code for October phone orders (OCT20%), and you can get the JBL 2226H's shipped for about $265 each. That's a good deal, but would blow your budget, I suspect.

Ok after reading 140 pages of this thread Im almost ready to make an order from Parts Express:D

Im planing on using Cerwin Vega RE 30's, I have 2 pairs of these. Their the ones stacked on top of their bigger brothers:thmbsp:

They are a 12" ported 3 way system rated at 97 DB crossed over at 500/4500 Hz.

Compared to their big brothers The CLSC 215 and RE 38 the tweeters and mids aren't as good :no:

The CLSC 215 and my CLS 215 have what CV calls waveguides that sound very good to me:yes:

I wonder if the 12" CV woofer will play clean up to 1.2 Khz:scratch2:

I have no shortage of bass here so I could roll of the low end to cut down on IM distortion:smoke:

Im clueless when it comes to crossovers though:sigh:

Is there one out there I could just buy that's ready to go???

I have my cart at PE loaded up and I really want to try this so any help on the crossovers would be greatly appreciated:drool:

My plan would be to bypass the internal crossovers and lay the CV's on their sides and try em out.

If I liked It I could mount em in the box real close to the woofer and use the tweeter hole for the L pad:scratch2:

Help please, Im itching to try this!!!

Cloning aside you'll soon be known as "...". Anyway don't be discouraged by the lack of know how as to the crossover. If you order the cards from Z those here can get you through the install of the parts. It is not hard at all. I like the idea of the tweeter space for the L-pad. These will look kool.

Are the Dayton round waveguides a viable option for the constant directivity WG thing? A 10" woofer with 10" waveguide would be way cool.

DE250s in hand

I now have a pair of DE250s. (Thx B.T.) Unfortunately my only bolt-WGs, a pair of B&C ME10s, are out on loan with my DE10s so I have nothing to try these drivers out with. I have bolt/thread adapters and PH612 WGs but I think we decided that adapters introduced undesirable response funkiness. So I'll have to wait for QSC to deliver the waveguides I ordered last week. I guess I could call them for a ship date tomorrow but I have plenty else to be depressed about for now with 12 hour shifts at work...
