Those look beautiful.
What is the finish on the baffle?
Looks like skater-deck grip stuff.:thmbsp:
Or is it speckle-paint?
1/4" foam rubber - hopefully it will mitigate some baffle diffraction.
So your the guy who had my name when I signed up here, sorry dude:scratch2:
I guess Im lazy/unskilled/impatient and I was hoping to buy some that were already done :stupid:
Will these live with 300+ watts per channel???
If he "had your name" when you signed up, then it is "his" name!

Wow those look great! You beat me to it. I started mine last year but never finished them. Picked up some JBL 2223H's from Russell as my TAD's are going into the Valencia cabinets. Do you have the original slatted wooden grills?

Sorry, the grills are neither wooden nor extant. They were plastic, and were as brittle as fine china. See ya later. Besides, my wife can't stand lattice grills, and these are gonna be centerpieces in the living room. She loves how they look now!
Also, the foam was glued on with Aileen's Tacky. It extends under the drivers for use as an integral gasket, and butts up against the port tubes and cabinet edges.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Both doucanue and I have a pair of the same Barzilay cabinets with the wooden grills. They must have made a different style grill unless yours wasn't original. :scratch2:
I read back in the thread but couldn't find what woofer you used? I was also wondering it looks like you only have two wires going to your l-pad. Why is that?
Could you list your port sizes and lengths too? Just nice to have for a reference.

Your Barzilay's are different looking compared to what several members and I have but the interior construction looks the same. Regardless they are looking great! :thmbsp: Are you going to have any sort of grill on the front?Sorry, the grills are neither wooden nor extant. They were plastic, and were as brittle as fine china. See ya later. Besides, my wife can't stand lattice grills, and these are gonna be centerpieces in the living room. She loves how they look now!![]()
