OK, I can't explain why this worked....but it did. The line array is wired with the top 4 drivers in parallel to + on the crossover board, then the - of those go to the + of the bottom drivers all attached to one common point. The - of the bottom drivers are parallel to the - of the crossover board.
So, I got looking at the speakers and noticed that, even though the - and + of the crossover board was connected to the + and - of the 8 drivers properly, one speaker had the + on top and the other speaker had the + on the bottom 4 drivers.
I switched those around and the now they image like crazy. Not just percise side to side, but a very deep image as well.
Also, much better bass responce. With the execption of a couple very low notes being roll off a bit, there is no need for a sub.
These really sound good. I am still amazed and for what I have into them....damn

Very nice price. I'm sure you'll enjoy them. A mild coating of thinned "modge podge" puzzlecoat glue softens the breakup mode a bit and seems to give a better off-axis cancellation behavior. 3 parts water to 1 part glue and a careful hand.

I'm using similar dimensions but the cabinet design is more substantial.
There will be a box frame built with planks (or some form of that) connecting front and rear 3/4" MDF baffles that have a curved design. Then the sides will be four layers of an undetermined 1/4" material.
Finally a slightly larger copy of the MDF baffle will be attached made of 1/2" apple plywood.
Internal volume will be slightly more than 5 cubic feet then subtract the volume of the horn, two 4" flared ports, and the woofers and yer done!
I have a 3D model I will post pictures next week.

Haven't listened to them yet, but they work! Next up legs, stain, and grill cloth. I don't know why the wave guide looks crooked because it really isn't. Also, this is the Selenium 220ti and Dayton DC300 with Zilch boards.
I just listened to them and all I can say is that if these speakers only get better with higher end components such as JBL and BMS drivers I can't imagine how amazing they sound. Honestly, I can't fathom how awesome and "upgrade" would sound because these inexpensive speakers sound AMAZING. I can't say it enough they are AMAZING! I was expecting decent with some horny squalk. I didn't get that. I got a set of speakers that are of the highest quality I have ever owned. They are nicer than any of my friends/family members speakers and they have some high end products (read Klipsch, etc). Are these the nicest speakers I have ever heard? No, I have heard some REALLY nice speakers over the years, but for these to be in the same league sound wise as some of the nicest speakers I have ever heard for this small amount of investment speaks volumes! Anyone that is even thinking about building these NEEDS to build these!
BTW, I put on Pink Floyd DSOTM SACD and it was phenomenal. I can't wait to put on some of my other albums! I'm off to enjoy my new speakers. THANK YOU AUDIOKARMA!

How good are eWaves you might ask. Well, this morning I got my OblaWaves set up with, still in the garage, with a Decware Zen amp and a new Yamaha CD player. Cleaned the place up a bit and sat down to give them a good listen with my morning coffee.
About a half hour later, I got a shooting pain in my left arm, my chest felt like a sumo wrestler was sitting on it, I broke out in a cold sweat, had difficulty breathing, heart burn....so in short a heart attach.
Spent the day in the ER with wires and tubes sticking out every where and the bottom line is....they don't know what happened. More test this week.
So, if anyone ask you how good the eWave sound, just tell them they will give you a heart attach: they are that good.

Holy cow, Dennis. Get better soon, and by all means take care of yourself. Considering the substantial contents of your garage, 'cleaning up a bit' would be enough work to give 2 20 year olds heart attacks.
We need more information, of course. What kind of coffee, and what were you listening to?
