The TD12S in on my wish list...and I'm open to other suggestions for replacing the Eminence Deltalite 2512 in the E-Wave Delites.

It'd be interesting to compare the TD15 with something like the 2234 (2235 minus mass ring), or my "FrankenJBL 2236s" (2226 frame with 2235 cone and longer voice coil, with soft spider). I wonder if it's just the extra mass concentrated in the mass ring, that's "dulling" things a bit with the 2235, running midbass/mids? Cosmos certainly seemed to think that the "2236s" had PLENTY of slam... :D

Hm. Wonder if we could Franken-JBL a pair of JBL 2206s? I have a pair of 2203 (foam edge 12" JBL) cones, that could be built up with the same voice coil I used in the "2236s"... or just replace the original 2206 fabric surround with a foam surround, and the stiff spider with a softer spider, re-using the voice coil and cone of the original. That might be interesting. Vented Gap geometry motor assembly, but with the foam-edge cone? Best of both worlds?

I've talked to Dan a couple of times about the 2236s. He does not live far from me and I hope to get over to his place to give them a listen. The funny thing is that all these driver are at the very top of the pile. I would take any of them for life.

My findings exactly. Since its "punch" he's seeking, the 2225H
is probably the best between it and the 2235H. From what those that know say, he's probably not going to gain anything over his woofs. Not but one way to find out!

The 15 inch version is on mine, but I'm a believer in 15 inch 2 ways, as I personally like the result. Wayne P has a similar perspective on this. (As well as some of the advantages of the 15 inch drivers...)

since I have a pair, how would a "Franken 2225H work out? Or would it be more like 2234H?

Franken-2225 would basically just be 2234, yep. No reason to deviate from that, with that frame.

Heads UP, vintage restorationists -- a couple of minutes' encounter with a roundover bit, and your clunky cabs (KLH-24, in this instance, the "lips" actually being solid walnut trim,) may be imbued with a full measure of contemporary bullnose snazz.... :thmbsp:

How can I source pt-b99hf (overseas). Apparently JBL does not take orders from outside of the US.

Is there any clones or is it being sold at PE etc. ?

Is the pt-b99hf screw-mount and is it compatible with Selenium D220Ti?
 
Does anyone know how the Dayton DC250-8 10" woofer compares to the large Advent 10" woofer used in approx 1.6cu ft ewave? Thanks!
 
Advent 10" will go lower. Dayton DC250 is a little more efficient.

In 1.6 cubic feet, I'd use the Advent woofer. If you have greater than 2 cubic feet, the Dayton becomes the more attractive option.

Can some one help me.I am putting together the Standard Kit and I can not get Winisd to cooperate at all. I need to know how the DC-300 acts in 2ft3 sealed and if that wont work what port sizes do I need. Thanks.

Well I've got that driver in mine so lessee here... I get -3dB at about 47hz, -10dB at 28hz.
