I tried to find some specific numbers on g-forces experienced and found anywhere from 4 to 6 on launch and 6 on decel. But I think it is the direction that has the potential to cause problems like detached retinas.
Here is some cool stats on a Top Fuel dragster. My favorite being the theoretical race between a Lingenfelter Z06 -with a 200mph running start- and a typical Top Fuel dragster. Spoiler alert..the dragster wins.

Boy, I wish I had kept my S2000.I'm keeping my S2000 for now. A real 6-speed manual (I think... let me check the owner's manual).
They still look current.

I just was looking at a description of "Slammin' Sammy's" rocket dragster- the one that did the quarter mile in as low as 3.2 seconds, at up to 386 MPH.
It accelerated so hard- that Sammy would temporarily black out. He had to TAPE his hands onto the parachute release levers, so he wouldn't inadvertently pull the chutes, when he blacked out just off the starting line. Like up to 10 Gs on launch! That's fighter pilot, carrier launch, pressure-suit territory...

I bought mine new in 2001. At the time, each Honda dealer was only getting one of them, and there were none near Nashville, where I was living at the time. The closest one I could find was in Chicago, so my wife and I drove up there to pick it up.Untampered, good examples are getting so hard to find these days.

I was so worried about driving it home because it was winter and I don't have to tell you that the S2000 isn't made for snowy weather. Anyway, the feeways were clear and we made it home just fine.

I'm not really a fan of EV's as one's main car, but I will say this: My daughter and her husband got a Volvo "smallish" EV suv and they let me drive it last weekend. We got on a straight and he told me to floor it. The only time in my life I've felt that kind of acceleration was when my friend let me drive his Porsche race car. I'd have broken my neck if there wasn't a headrest. BTW, it's their "short trips around town" car and they just plug it into a 120 volt outlet in the garage. It's perfect for their lifestyle.Two "related" thoughts.
Would one have to wear a neck brace when attempting this launch event?
Wonder how this car would do against an EV in a drag event?

I'm no fan of EV's, for a lot of reasons, but ever since I saw this video I've become a HUGE fan of hybrids, for a LOT of reasons. I had no idea that e-CVT's even existed.

Quite the capable vehicle!!
What I find the most amazing is the sub 9-second 1/4 mile.
My dad and I drag raced a 71 454 Vette that was a tunnel-rammed, roller cammed, wheelie-pulling, fire breathing monster that "only" ran 10.30's. Narrowed rear with a spool, a full cage, stripped interior... The notion of a 9-second refined street car defies conventional logic!
But styling is subjective and I think the ZR1X is butt-ugly and looks like it was a prop in a Transformers movie.

I went through nine sets of tires on that thing, most of them being Michelin Pilot Ss's. It was like a slot car, but I did a fair share of drifting. My 75 mile commute, each way, took me through some amazing, well maintained, Kentucky twisties. And they don't use Radar cops here. They use deer. Luckily, I never hit one but there were a few close calls.Yes! These smaller 6-speed sports cars are a blast to drive!
Once I was riding the curves through a large flat of recently harvested corn fields, doing 85 in a 55, and I saw these two cars a mile or so away doing about the same speed coming toward me (no corn, so I could see around all the corners). As they passed I realized they were two state troopers. They didn't even slow down, but one flashed his blues for a second after they got a couple hundred yards past me. I reciprocated with my flashers, and we all went on our way... I'm guessing they called ahead for the deer.

Really, with the top down, the S2000 feels close to riding a motorcycle — extremely sensitive throttle response in turns.
