Impedance matching for Schit Modi DAC to Dynaco SCA 35

Does anyone know if the 75 Ohm output impedance of the Schit Modi DAC will play nicely with a Dynaco SCA 35 integrated amp? I've not been able to determine what the Dynaco is looking for, but I've read a few posts about mismatched SS preamps with tube power amps that makes me wonder. Thanks.

AU-D11 and AU-D9 power output for a 6 ohm impedance load?

So maybe this is a very stupid question but it seems like most of the speakers I like are 6ohm so far. And despite the fact that I know that impedance load modifies wattage output form the amps, I always think of my Sansui's nominal 8ohm power output. Does anyone know the real-world power output...

One Amp & 4 pairs of speakers using Pyle speaker selector

I have a friend who asked for my help on setting up his whole house system. Here is what he wants to do: Drive multiple zones of speakers simultaneously from one amplifier at moderate listening volume. The amp is a Sansui AU-5500 35 wpc and is rated to handle two sets of 8 ohm speakers (so...

OPT Primary Impedance Matching to Power stage?

I'm new to tube amps, and trying to learn a lot real fast. The set up I'm wanting to do is two KT-88's in PPUL fixed bias. Going to run them at 460v B+ for the neighborhood of 70W. Don't want to burn them out too soon seeing as they were quite expensive. So on to my questions which will reveal...

    impedance matching and inline attenuators

i have an impedance matching question about inline attenuators. rothwell is non-responsive, and the italian copycat (in their words) responded bu flat out refused to answer so i wont build my own and sell them, so im comin to the AK community here for experience, info and understanding about...

Connecting a powered subwoofer to integrated amp

I connected a powered subwoofer to my two channel integrated amp using speaker wire going from the amp's speaker B terminals to the sub's high level input. My L & R speakers are connected to the speaker A terminals. Everything works at low volume but when I turn it up for a while, the amp seems...

    LG HT355SD Speaker Impedance

Hello. I recently purchased an LG HT355SD for dirt cheap at a local fair to replace my failing LG LH-T6540. The new set uses (5 x 4Ω) speakers and (1 x 8Ω) Woofer. However, the speakers on the T6540 set sounded much better, so I was wondering if I can hook up the older speakers to the new set...

Coaxial Conundrum. 8 ohm woofer coil vs 16 ohm tweeter. RE-CONE.

I currently have a 16 ohm Coaxial Alnico just like an Altec 604 with resin dome tweeter, but it is not an altec. It originally had a treated plastic/vinyl paper surround, but I opted to replace it with a pleated cloth surround like the 604D when they went from paper to cloth because the cone was...

    Math on Impedance Amp+Speaker

i have old sansui AU 555a , i dont know this amp can handle with 4 ohm speaker so i will come around with this setup ( add resistor 25 watt 4 ohm) to polarity + speaker what do you think,, is this will accepted or will loose some detail in music /sound/vocal ?

    Vintage Receiver and Headphone Impedance

Hi All, I'm looking to put together my first HiFi setup and I'm keen to get a late 70s, early 80s receiver/integrated amplifier to pair with some entry level audiophile headphones. I'm struggling to understand matching headphone and receiver output impedance. With info like headphone output...
