2010-11 College Basketball

Purdue had a horrible shooting game. Hope they got it out of their system.

field goals 36.2%(25-69) 3-point 20.0%(5-25) free throws 58.8%(10-17)

Wisconsin at Ohio State at 4 pm EST on CBS is the final regular season clash of titans, I hope the Badgers show up ready to rumble today, and win one on the road. Eiter way, its two premier teams with post season agenda

The boys seem to be getting the picture.Go Cats! Since my son attends Xavier I will share my energy cheering them on as well.

Something stinks in North Carolina :saywhat:

UNC is season champ, ranked 5/6th in nation, and awaits ACC Tournament.

The All ACC First Team selection includes:
Nolan Smith (certainly one of the best in the nation )
Kyle Singler (so-so year, especially late season)

and NO ONE from UNC on first team :wtf:

Maryland's Jordan Williams and Virginia Tech's Malcolm Delaney certainly earned their spots on the first team.

I think we agree :D

This is first time in ACC history the season champion did not have a representative on the first team.

OK, I will stop whining now

Kansas survives in a game against Oklahoma State that they should have dominated, but a win is a win.

UConn dumps another top regional seed, Pittsburgh, on its ear today, and St. John is now dueling with Syracuse at MSG. All the conference tournaments are really something, but the Big East? Top to bottom, there's nothing that compares, and never has been in my 57 years.

I hope everyone's teams fare well, but, that ain't gonna happen, is it.

Marquette has now beaten Providence and WVU thus far in the Big East tourney. Tonight, they get to take on Louisville. Yikes.

Marquette won their way into The Tournament last night against WVU, and are now playing with house money. They have been working like hell to prove themselves worthy of being considered a true Big East contender, and not a newcomer team. They will be a very dangerous team this week, as well as in the next few weeks, one nobody will want in their bracket

dammit. St; Johns lost a track meet to Syracuse, no more MSG magic for them this year. At least they can rest up for the Big Dance now. I hope like hell Kennedy isn't seriously injured, the Johnnies will need him.

I'm thinking Virginia Tech needs two wins to avoid the NIT, but who knows this year. Slights in previous years may work in their favor in this crazy season.

and K-state loses to Colorado?

yep, thats the third time this season, I'd say Colorado has their number. Not often a college team gets a hat trick on a prominent program. Can't help but wonder if bracket fate will conspire for a 4th matchup, most likely to happen in the NIT, if it did

Ohio State and Northwestern in OT? The conference tourney lunacy is in full force this year.

Edit: So Ohio St. prevails in OT and NC survives a scare. Damn, I was hoping for full on chaos.

UNC gets its first lead of the game with under half a second left, and slips past Miami...in basketball? really?

D.J. Kennedy of St. Johns is out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Major blow for the Johnnies, damned shame, for him and St. Johns
