Ha! Records aren't perfectly round to begin with. So I don't get how it can "perfectly" center the platter. More complication added to a piece of equipment to go wrong. Nothing against the company, they produced some awesome stuff.

So I don't get how it can "perfectly" center the platter.

It's aligning the outer "groves" with the tonearm/cartridge for records with off center spindle holes and based on the one I used until two years ago, it works. Though most holes are pretty accurately punched.

Of course not, but this for $6K is daffy.

Modern decks that are a few hundred grand are works of art. They are for bragging rights. Most of them give me a headache just looking at how to set one up and use it. Some are much simpler.

I like the Audio Consulting R-evolution Meteor. Cool deck. $180K is out of my price range......

(I am still puzzled by the modern Thorens td 124 for $10K)

Also, it's the highest end, most expensive turntable Fujiya Audio ever built. Who is the company who built this (and maybe designed it too).

I bought that turntable. It was Black Friday last year, they cut me a nice deal. Great folks there at https://www.saturdayaudio.com/ Worth the trip if you're ever in Chicago.

I've had it for almost a year now. I'm very tempted to do a post here about it. I don't post near as much as I used to. Long story . . .

I'll say this -- it's a holy grail deck, especially if you have musician ears and can hear that seasick warble that comes from off center pressings. And according to the Dragon, just about everything is detectably eccentric.

It's a neat piece. Sounds absolutely fabulous with a (Groovetickler) rebuilt Grace F9 Ruby.
