When you say you see prices in the $150 to $200 range is that nationally or regionally? And have they been refurbished? In general, yes. Specifically, I can't justify that price even if they're new in box. The prices I see most often are $150 to $200 if they are original and in great cosmetic shape. They are, indeed, great speakers. I have owned them and would, again, love a pair in the stable. Look for another, more reasonably priced, pair. This post is worth exactly what it cost to read it.
Yes, new foam, new caps and new crossover(s). But truthfully, I really don't know what the crossover is all about? I imagine it's the protection circuitry? If you know I'm all ears"Refurbished" means what, new foam and new caps? $350 is possible on Ebay for a mint pair but I personally wouldn't pay anywhere near that, especially locally. I think $150-250 on Craigslist is more than fair.
That's next on my list.Very nice. Get them 8-12 in off the floor on stands and I think you will be even happier. OLAs do everything at least pretty well.
Got mine off The "Bay" for $75. Mint condition
