Advent Large Speakers.

I would pay that much for refurbished Large Advents. However, the shipping will kill you. Those are pretty heavy.

I have stacked NLA and Ones, which are smaller cabinets with identical drivers. Answering how they sound better, stacked pairs to single speakers, is difficult to put into words. More enveloping. A lot of people do it, and like it. All the drivers are in the same plane, similar to making two larger speakers. Mine are currently driven by a Sony 100 wpc@8ohms amp internally wired in series for 16 ohm load. 4 ohm load not recommended for this amp.
If you can place your speakers out from back wall and farther from TT to reduce feedback to cartridge, you may prefer.
