I got stuck on a tonearm lift issue on a Fisher 302 turntable. I asked ai for a solution and it returned with an answer based off an AudioKarma post.

You have no idea how many times I've been looking for some answer about a car problem I'm having and found my own posts telling someone else how to fix it a decade or more ago. Usually because I had that problem and forgot what I did to fix it. So thanks past me for posting too much.

That's happened to me as well from a couple posts here and another couple of forums on different subjects. It's hilarious. Our AI overlords still have a bit of work to do before they take over...

I'll never need another computer tech that's for sure. It taught me how to set up some pretty slick if/when/then routines on my phone. And with its help, I set up a T-bill ladder. I, for one, welcome our new overlords.

In the past few months, I've made several OS, software, and hardware changes . I've encountered many nasty glitches, errors, and problems. The AI has quickly presented accurate fixes every time. No more cruising all those crappy "support" sites. Just solid, detailed, accurate procedures to fix the problem. In this regard, i found MS CO-PILOT to be superb. And that's coming from a lifelong Microsoft hater!

It's here, and it's not going away. Might as well take advantage of it.

Yeah. I find Google AI works a little better — if the "clues" you enter are closer into the answer you are seeking.

It's only as good as the information that it consumes. Unsupervised, it has no means to determine what is true and what is false, except in comparison with the information that it already has. That can lead to incorrect information confirming other incorrect information. There are cures for this problem, but how to know whether those cures have been incorporated?

It will get there eventually. Cameras everywhere and information in networks.

I typically default to using Google's AI. It seems to be more intuitive than others I have tried. If I am asking a question that is very technical then I might use Grok.

I’ve been playing with several of the AI services and find that Google more typically parrots online social media information, and Claude providing the best service for trying to synthesize information.

Both Claude and ChatGPT have been most useful for work related things. I’m actually a bit fond of Claude.
