The Precious One.One AI to rule them all, one AI to find them, one AI to bring them all, and in the ether bind them.
We know how this will end; there can be only one.

By the fruit of the loom, progress loves you son. Go out and enjoy. The dirty jobs will be the last to go.
I am wondering if people should be required to show proof of employment in order to have access the internet.By the fruit of the loom, progress loves you son. Go out and enjoy. The dirty jobs will be the last to go.
My thinking is proof of anything should not be a requirement.I am wondering if people should be required to show proof of employment in order to have access the internet.
AI won't replace humans, but humans who use AI will replace humans who don't.
I can't bring myself to trust a guy who never blinks.Big questions concerning AI economics:
I've always posited that people should have to pass an advanced musical theory and ear training test before being allowed to purchase any form of electric instrument (guitar, bass, keyboard, or drum machine) or an amp for same, and for the same reasons.I am wondering if people should be required to show proof of employment in order to have access the internet.
Is that good, or better for humanity? Should folks be replaced because of their choices when their choices don't harm anyone?AI won't replace humans, but humans who use AI will replace humans who don't.
Replaced more like those who refused to embrace electricity were replaced by those who did. Think attrition rather than dissolution. My great grandmother lived in a small house located next to my great aunt. When they were building her cottage, she refused to allow electricity incorporated in the construction. Long before the concern about the EMF fields, she thought that electricity was unhealthy for humans. And it might be to certain degree, but not a dangerous as using kerosine lanterns for light, coal stoves for heat, and an ice box for perishables. But like who eschew AI today, she still benefited from electricity. Is that good, or better for humanity? Should folks be replaced because of their choices when their choices don't harm anyone?
The way I read what he is saying is that eventually the humans who won't use AI pass away as per all things must pass. Since AI isn't going away eventually all humans born will be using AI. Hence(my interpretation of his post) baked-in AI will become inescapable and the generations who formerly born prior to AI will give way to generations whose lives are inextricably tied to AI.Is that good, or better for humanity? Einstein famously said “I don’t know what weapons WWIII will be fought with but WWIV will be sticks and stones”The way I read what he is saying is that eventually the humans who won't use AI pass away as per all things must pass. Given that even in this extremely early stage right now, where AI is performing actions no human requested it to perform, it's going to present challeges to attempts to guiderail it. There'll be human intentions for how we'd like AI to operate and there will be AI making its own plans.
Also given that other nations are developing their own AI, anticpate that there will be AI versus AI wars for supremacy. GOD only knows what that will entail.
That's the vid. He does tons of good analysis.Big questions concerning AI economics:
