Altec id needed

They look to be A7s. The A7 had differnt components depending on various factors but all the components are excellent.

On closer examination of the picture, if you look at the compression driver on the horn at the very left on the ground, it looks like a JBL driver not Altec.....which is find.....maybe even better.

Hard to tell from those pics, but those look like they might be the early "800" version of the small VOTT cabinet with the flat horn throat. If they're 825s, the vertical ports puts them in the early 60s at the latest. Horns appear to be 811Bs.

The ad says "four speakers," but I only see three bass cabinets and two horns. They could have JBL drivers installed. Horns are definitely Altec.

early 825 cabinets on the bottom ID'd by the vertical ports, they'd be worth some coin if they appear to be original Altec built. Sam, 810 has a single horizontal port, visually smaller than the ports on later 825's and 828's.

Without a better pic i'd be leary of the HF section. It closely resembles an HF package offered by Acoustic that uses a sectoral horn SIMILAR to an 811 but instead with a screw on driver like a Kustom or CV.

Looks like VOT A4
A4 looks like this and is over 9 feet tall:

Altec A7 cabs with 288 or 291 drivers ...the woofers are definately Altec and look like 515b......could be a 416a suppose...they are very dusty. Nice find and would make a nice component stash or fun summer project for some goodoldskool sweet sound! The crossover is too dusty to tell. For VOTT speakers they some of the last produced I would believe.

That horn driver cap is shaped more like my 909s than a 802, but the body is thicker/longer like a 288. I can't match the connectors though.
It's certainly beefy enough as it's a lot bigger than an 8xx if you look at the one hanging off the horn on the first speaker laying down on the right in the crummy first pic.

I wonder what those two circles are on the right too? There could be drivers behind them also, but what??

Horn driver is an 808B or 802G.

Woofer is a 515(no letter) or an 803A.

crossover is likely an N-800.

Nice stuff, woofer is period correct for the cabinet, the horn and driver are not.

If original to the box, i think the woofers are more likely to be 803A. But there's only one way to know for sure. If they turn out to be 515's then the crossovers are probably N-500's. Either way is a really nice find.

Good luck HJS!
