Looks like a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) model, judging by the manufacturer plate on the back. Voltage is wrong for the US, although it will probably work OK. My guess is that it was designed for broadcast or studio rather than home use, due to the separate electronics module.

Did I miss something? The speed control only says "high" and "low"; I didn't see anywhere that specified exactly what high and low were. Of course, if it is meant for commercial use then they're almost definitely 7.5 and 15ips, but again, I don't see where it says that.

Yeah. He put them on one picture to show that it plays 7" reels, then he specifically said that they aren't included. Obviously he wasn't too lazy to take them off. He took off the big reels then put those on just to show they are compatible. That's not being lazy, that is due diligence. You slammed a good listing. Anyone who can read can see that those aren't included. When you buy a box of Reynolds Wrap, do you expect to get the turkey that's pictured on the box?
well at this point I must admit, I myself put reels on deck I sold once and said they werent included......a Picture is worth a thousand words and the nicer the pic, the more enticing it is to a potential buyer. I just don't like it when it's an ad for bulbs and they use a whole pic of the actual piece of gear the bulbs are for......or when a seller uses " ultra mega rare:": to sell a xerox of a truly rare ( if it's THE ORIGINAL brochure nothing MEGA RARE about a copy........
