Best sounding small floor speakers?

I have space constraints but want floor speakers instead of bookshelfs on stands.
What are some recommendations, either vintage or modern? I am using a Luxman R-1070.

Thanks!

Imho
I can listen for hours with my 8 Watt PP
Triode Amp.
Slightly less with my HK Citation 2 Amp
Even running it in Triode.
When hooked up to my Newer Pioneer Elite
Surround receiver, I can only use my Big monitors as background music!
Not critical listening.
I don’t have a problem with Vintage SS Receivers, and amps. it’s just not going to give you the same enjoyment.
Horns are so revealing they will expose and amplify any weakness ina system.0
If and when I start Biamping again,
I have a pair of custom made 45 tube 1.5 Watt
SET amps just for my Big Format 2” Horns.
This is a crazy hobby.
I listen to music louder than I bet 95% of on AK
Enjoy

Whenever I see a "what's the best..." post I always think it's it's probably not the right question to ask. If there were only three or four options there might be a chance of identifying "the best" but with so options available ... :dunno:

Depends on your budget. Tekton makes some very nice speakers, but the ones that really sing are big. The Von Schweikert Endeavor MK III are amazing but pricey. Vintage Snells, when everything is correct are also very impressive. IMHO

I am running Mirage OM-10s in my living room. They sound great! But they need to be a few feet out from the wall, and a sub is needed for the last octave and a half.

So many to choose from, Totem Sky Towers, ProAc D-18, Spendor A3 or A4 and the list goes on.

No mention of budget so the list of recommendations is going to be all over the place

The Ohm Walsh Tall series are worth considering. Very small footprint but tall enough to be at ear level when sitting. Sound ridiculously good off axis. On a completely different tangent the Klipsch Heresy would do the trick.

I own some approximately 6.75" wide 40" tall Piega's but since $$ is not mentioned I seriously
doubt they would be budgeted for.

No one mentioned the Best Imaging Speakers
out there is Nola’s formally Alons
Small foot print big accurate sound
Bobhorn
Btw why do you need a small foot print?
WIF? Wife Acceptance Factor?
Small Room?

I agree with Yk Thom, the Ohm Walsh Talls are really nice speakers and take up square inches of floor space.

I also love DCM Timewindows, thin floorspace, great sound.
