This would be ideal to attach to my soundbar--I need something really compact. I don't need ultra-low (like 16Hz) but if it fills out the bottom end, I'm good with it.
I heard Supercube Very impressive for such small footprint . Wish stereo integrity had passives for its drivers .
The towers were neat too , not sure if I’d want that much bass unless I had a larger room .
Towers + stand alone sub would be so loud .

I'm really enjoying my SVS SB12-NSD in my medium-small room. I use it for HT and on my 2-channel system for music. It sounds great on both. Just last night, I was watching a movie and thought I heard something banging around in the next room. After muting and um-muting a couple times, I realized it was the movie. Sometimes, the bass is more felt than heard, which is always fun! Mine was also an Amazon special at $399. My work system has an RBH MS-8.1. I've never heard of RBH speakers, but they appear to be at least fairly well reviewed. This one has dual 8" woofers and also sounds good, but not nearly as good as the SVS... definitely better than the cheap Polks, etc I was finding (I bought this one used).
Not quite to this level but using two 10" madisound woofers driven with 400watts of pro power had my neighbor running over wondering what was rattling the windows on "his" house lol.

I have a Def Tech Pro Sub 80 that I got for $100 at an SA and never understood what all the fuss was about subs until I started listening to it as the sub in my computer system. While I'm sure it's not in the same league as the Supercube, listening to Chris Squire's bass lines in Close to the Edge come through clearly. Admittedly some of the credit should go to Eddie Offord and Steve Wilson, the producer and reproducer (listening to the 5.1 version), but it does show that some bargains can be found in higher end 5.1 systems that are now being dumped on CL and other places in favor of soundbars (Oh the humanity!

Soundbars and little boss cube style speakers are the worst travesty to audio . Along with htib woofers sold as subs .with oversized ports , and flabbergasted bass.
You can use a pro sub for bass? I’d imagine that would be overkill for most rooms . And not low enough for home theater but wow as a pc sub ? That’s epic !!!!
Tv speakers in today’s flatscreens hurt my ears but my dad swears by them . And said my 7.2!,$ surround was a wastebasket off money

Those monoprice subs and supercube both look nice !!! Do ported subs have more spl?but less cone control ?
Servo subs cost way too mucu for me , too many good brands to choose from !!!!
Hope I can find a job soon need to snag me a deal on people dumping good speakers for trash ones , the non audiophiles.

Why is rel so expensive $1300 for a 10” subwoofer? Are they durable enough to buy used haha . Looks very stylish though maybe that’s part of the price? Wonder if it compares to svu or definite technology. Of similar woofer size.https://rel.net/product-category/serie-ti/

Often times you get what you pay for, my first sub was $2000 in 1991 dollars, it's still stellar today. I have other less expensive subs of the same driver size that are not it's equal, even with a pair of them.
As for a 10" subs ability, back in the early 2000's I built in two 10" woofers from Madisound, drove them crossed over at 80hz with a 400watt/channel amp. Cranking "Ray Parker Jr's Ghostbusters on the AR XA for the kids my neighbor from the house next door came running over asking what was rattling his windows lol.

Had to replace plate amp once , wish I had bought. A crown pa amp or something for my si ht 15” amp my amp is 100 wpc underpowered vs the wooofer .
Plus diy subs have a over large footprint it’s nearly 5 cubic foot . The siZe of a mini fridge!!!

My JL audio fathom is a 13" ultra-long throw woofer with two sets of magnets (so the sub stays saturated no matter how far it moves) and all by itself will shake **** off the walls, were I to so desire.
I had, back in the nineties a set of home built sub enclosures with 4 10" kicker subs in each sealed box. they were each the size of a Klipschorn.
The JL audio all by itself outdoes those two subs, and they were fabulous, built using thiel/small parameters, eventually ended up becoming my bassists stack for concerts.

Hope to find a job someday so I can try other subs , my current one is serious overkill for my room size . I like it’s lower end though nice for sealed , who knows how long plate amp will last .
Super cube is a lot of output for a little tiny sub . Heard it in bestbuy!!!!

Dayton ultimax looks nice but not sure how the pre-built box is .

HSU makes a good sub. I use a VTF-3 MKII, been reliable for years and years. Scored it for under a hundred bucks. 350watt amp, 12" woofer, huge cabinet, lots of bass.
