Can someone id these EPI's?

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I recently picked up a pair of the early EPI 100s with 1 rattly tweeter and a wooger needing surrounds. Can any of you folks that have these tell me:
1. Surrounds - are the originals butyl or foam? Are there gaskets? The one I have is butyl that's glued on TOP of the gasket. I just can't believe that's right (looks like that one was worked on, since there are two sets of screw holes for mounting it).
2. Tweeters - Do I want the original masonite tweeter or does one of the other models sound better, more reliable, etc. I'd like to stick to original since the other sounds nice and I'd only have to buy one, but I'm open. Keep in mind I don't have a tweeter level pot in these. If they're all the same, I'll have more options and get a replacement (or pair) cheaper).

I've been all over humanspeakers but can't get a definitive answer on the surround question. He's pushing the aluminum dome, but apparently he has some to sell.
Thanks.

Hi Wank.

I have a pair of original EPI-100s whose original butyl surrounds were glued to the top of the gaskets, too. I just figured Bruhoe was hiring stoned hippies in the early days.

I replaced the cracked surrounds with new rubber (red rubbers from RS Sounds), and glued them to the speaker basket, and placed the gaskets on top of the surround edge (as is normal).

But you've got me wondering about this. Were they SUPPOSED to be glued to the top of the gaskets? Hmm. Maybe I'll post this at Bruhoe's forum and see it he responds (he was very non-committal about foam vs. rubber replacements).

where's the forum? If he doesn't care butyl v. foam, I think I'll go with foam x 2 (already re-did the worse woofer in foam, butyl cracking on the other) and gaskets.

I went down this surround on gasket road a year or two ago.
IIRC, the baskets wre bought with the gaskets already installed, so the surrounds had to be glued on top.
