Choosing an amplifier

New Member
I'm upgrading my amp and I see a shop down the street has:

- Pioneer SA 9500
- Pioneer TX 7500
- Pioneer SX 1050

Which one would be the best pick?

Thanks!

My father has the SA 9500 so I'm kinda partial to it. he's had since i can remember. I'm 45 and he's had it as long as I can remember. never missed a beat.

A couple of things:

Best pick for what?

"Best" can mean many things to many people which could possibly lead to a lot of answers that might or might not help in your decision.

Thread title says "Choosing an amplifier"

You've listed an integrated amp, a tuner and a stereo receiver as your options

What are you actually looking for? what are you hoping to accomplish/upgrade from your current unit?

Pioneer:
SA = Integrated amp
TX = Tuner
SX = Receiver

Not sure why about the tuner. (7500 is not top of line)
To me the SA-9500 and SX-1050 are pretty equal. If you listen to radio and need that then SX-1050.
I don't care about radio so more interested in SA-9500.
Without pictures it is hard to judge. I would make sure they work and probably pick the prettiest one.

More info regarding your requirements would be helpful.
