Classic High-End Gear

To go with my set up McIntosh Mc152 Yamaha S1800 Grace digital internet tuner and Vienna Bach speakers I have a McIntosh Mx113 preamp tuner built in the 70s glass panel aluminum knobs hand built American made .Not the best preamp but for the looks alone it's a great piece of equipment

For me its Pioneer elite. Maybe its not top of the top but sound wise and built wise im sure is. On board Nippon AVF for audio capacitors ( similar in quality to elna silmic), Ucon top quality capacitors and Nichicon Muse audio grade capacitors. Specs are one of the highest : s/n ratio 106.5 pre and 124.4 Power ( measured) . Even many more pricey gear doesnt have stats like this. MSRP 390 000 yenView attachment 1767055

Sweet baby Jesus. Also this is irrelevant but where do you live? Could you be specific as to a road name, and ideally house number? Also are there any times when your house is usually unoccupied?

When I'm not home my pioneer is guarded by Elite seal unit, so you doesn't stand a chance... Lol

Just a quick passage in this thread to say I know someone who owns three Oracle Delphies. I didn't know they were high end turntables. He owns them because he was an engineer at this place. I never knew but they were built right beside my uncle's house in Rock Forest, QC. I knew they were an audio brand but never knew until recently that they were that high-end. I suspect other people have their equipment around here and they don't even know what they got.

Oh, believe me, we know what we've got;)

There was three models in this line, the L-510/L-530/and L-550, all three were sold in Japan, Europe and Canada, for some reason they decided to not sell these models in the US. :dunno: I have the L-530, it oozes quality.

what step down transformer do you guys use? I’m trying to get a l-510

Trying to get one to use as a pre amp to my adcom 5800 for my thiels. The adcom luxman combo is great.

The L-510 has a passive pre (Alps Black Beauty) with the tone controls in the dual feedback loop. The L-510 is a deep bias amp that plays in pure class "A", for the first 8watts @ 8ohms the heat sink's temps avg 120~130.
You will be wasting a lot of power if you're not going to use the L-510's excellent amp section. IMHO
