direct drive turntable turns way too fast.

I have a micro seiki dd 5 that's in pretty good condition however it turns way too fast. Is there any way to fix this? included is a picture of the circuitry.

I am pretty sure I just need to replace some caps but I can't find a service manual so idk which ones also I am located in the Netherlands so if I would get it fixed I'd go to a local repair shop. Thanks for the tip though!

Start with the electrolytics . Pay attention to polarity and there maybe Bipolar ones. Most will have the info written on them and if you post clear up close pictures someone will know the hard to determine ones.cheers

I would start with those orange coloured ones. I just replaced these in a Technics TT and couldn't see until out ,appears they have oozed . The blue coloured one the one leg was green and the pcb in that spot shows signs of heat discoloring. Hope this helps. The TT still was playing fine speed dead on .

I don't have any caps atm so I'll need to order them first that's why I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me which ones I should replace. Should I just order new caps for every e cap on the board ?

Check all solder joints for the wires going to the motor , that is re flow the solder for them.

Might be the issue, a SL-5000 i worked on had the same issue search for runaway speed, but those are totally different motor wise etc.

I have no way of telling ,you have them in front of you if your not sure of a cap post a picture.
Best to take many pics anyway ,only change one at a time and verify you have good joints. Any of those Bipolar? You can put a cap in with a higher voltage rating but NOT a higher Capacitance. You should be able to get those all the same .

That was the problem on my Kenwood. A shot of deoxit, a few twirls of the knob and it settled right in.

Already cleaned the potentio meters so that's also sadly not the problem
