Dual 1228 dust cover for dual 1219?

Can someone please tell me if a dual 1228 dust cover can be used on a dual 1229 plinth? Both plinths are united audios. I can get the 1228 for a decent price but i want to complete my 1219 first. Thanks.

Twelve in platter on the 1219/1229. Ten in on the 1228...good luck. Went through a 1219 project last year. You won't be disappointed

It depends. If you have a CH5, 20 or 21 (those rickety folding-sliding covers) they will fit. The overall dimensions of those are ca.: 420x100x355mm.

If you've got a lower CH6, this won't fit because the tonarm-base of the 1219 is too high. The CH6 is only 70 mm high.

This add should be somewhere in english, but maybe it helps; just look for the pink-coloured dots that mark "will fit on 1219/1229":
