Yeah took the woofers out but all was on back side of cone where this number 92032 and the numbers on the backside of cabinet I couldn't find anything.

EPI didn't make any ported speakers, at least not before the Harman purchase. Whatever these were, they are no longer EPIs.
ETA: based on the appearance of the cabinets, these were originally Time/Energy 100 S II, or another model from the same series.
ETA2: I misspoke. The speakers in the "Magnus" series, and some of the T/E models were ported.

Except the 1976 offering Epicure 11.
Concur that is not an EPI speaker, just an EPI cabinet. It is probably from a Time/Energy 70/2 or 100/2 but it appears the dome tweeter has been removed and replaced with a narrow port, and a new cone tweeter installed to the left of it.

Thank you so very much for the information. You are exactly right I didn't realize that the port hole was not originally at one time an actual speaker. Also even though someone did some modification to the cabinets they actually sound really good. The woofer isn't the original either.

So I would like to thank all of you for your much needed information. So this is the original speaker, it indeed has been modified, but even though the cabinets have been changed they actually sound pretty good with the port hole that shouldn't be there and a different woofer. So thank you all for all you help. I greatly appreciate as well.
IF you'd like to bring them back closer to the EPI quality, you'll have to determine whether the woofer is capable up to 2-4KHz IIRC. Then seal up the port and replace the tweeters with PE Silk dome tweeters (RS-28?) 1" that have an Fs of around 900Hz. New Polypropylene 10uF caps for the crossovers and you'll be set.

Bringing that pair of EPI 100's back to factory norm would a major judgement call due to cost.
Today I installed some new, currently in production, up to date tweeters in some Polk Monitor 5B's. Cost was about $165CAD. Add to that, $15CAD for new grill pegs, $70CAD for new film capacitors, $40CAD for new wire wound resistors, $85CAD for one parted out woofer of the correct type and I'm into these speakers for $375,
I am not including the original purchase price as it was $2 at a garage sale last year.
If I were to re-sell, it was a very bad investment because I doubt they would fetch anywhere near what I spent on them. But, my intent is to keep them as they will likely be my only pair of speakers fairly soon.
I can understand why someone would re-purpose and modify boxes on hand for use with different drivers. I did that myself when I loaded some E/V drivers into some DIY cabs that I bought because I liked their look. The Sansui and Philips drivers that were inside, went elswhere.
Maybe those modified EPI boxes and the drivers inside will sound quite satisfying? Maybe more satisfying than factory stock EPI 100's?

Possibly, but I doubt the current tweeters are anything close to the EPI ones. The PE DC28F 1 1/8" Silk domes and new 10uF PP caps will run $60. The EPIs only had a 1 cap crossover...no resistors or inductors. That's why you need to know if the woofer is capable enough. The silk domes mentioned have a low enough FS to be a good alternative to trying to get used OEM or even Huw's replacements. Looking at his photo again, the woofers look to have the bluish felt look of the pre T/E model 100s, so the OP could already have original EPI woofers, just from an older series
The original EPI 100 series with the masonite, gold ring, or red ring tweeters are among the most acclaimed and loved budget speakers of all time. The Time/Energy models are not so much but I've heard they are OK.
The cost of used EPI drivers is quite low actually. For my 100Vs I got 2 woofers for $80 and 2 gold ring tweeters on eBay for $60. 2 new caps for $10 and I have fantastic sound. T/E drivers will probably be similar or less money. I have a pair of refoamed T/E woofers I would be willing to part with for shipping cost.
I do not think those are original EPI 100 8" woofers. For that part, the dust cover is smaller, the magnet is square and there is typically a date sticker. They are also definitely not the original T/E polypro woofers.
But, if you are happy with the sound, there's no need to make any changes.

Without seeing the magnet, there’s no way to tell. I agree the original dust cap was smaller, but they do look refoamed, and some replace the old dust cap with new. You are correct that they are not TE with the Lexan cones. My first speakers were TE 70s. They are serving as the surrounds and TE 100s as LCR in my HT setup. I’ve also restored 100Vs and 100Ms. You could say that I like EPI sound. The TE tweeters, while not quite on par with the inverted domes, still have great sound. Don’t know about the Series 2 rectangular tweets.
